Fitness World Accelerates Expansion with New Signature Location in Burnaby

Fitness World, British Columbia’s leading fitness and wellness brand with 17 locations across the province, is pleased to announce plans for its newest and largest gym to date, a Signature Fitness World in the Brentwood area’s new Gilmore Place.

Set to open in 2026, the 36,000-square-foot location will anchor a vibrant mix of retail and residential offerings within Onni Group’s transformative new Gilmore Place development in North Burnaby. This signature facility reflects the company’s ongoing growth strategy and is positioned to become a central fitness and wellness hub for Metro Vancouver.

A New Chapter in Growth

The new location in Brentwood is not only the largest in the company’s portfolio, it also represents the next phase of growth for Fitness World, with plans underway to expand across Canada through franchising and corporate store growth.

Fitness World currently employs more than 700 team members and anticipates hiring an additional 25 full-time and 50 part-time staff members for the Gilmore Place location. Positions will include personal trainers, club managers, assistant managers, fitness managers, member service representatives and group fitness instructors.
